Parents will often discuss the pressure they feel to conform to how other people raise and discipline their children. As a collective society we tend to follow trends and what we come to know, yet, at times we are unsure how we have come to know it.

Dr Anna Martin is an Auckland based family therapist who has been looking into disciplining children for a decade and her PHD findings are interesting to say the least. She says old school needs to be challenge and that other disciplining methods are outdated.
